Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Windhoek
Arrival in Windhoek, transfer to the hotel and meeting with the guide. Meals: not included.
Days 2 and 3 Sossusvlei and Sesriem
Morning departure southwards to the edge of the Namib Desert, where accommodation is in a lodge or mobile tented camp. Early the following morning, departure to Sossusvlei to admire the desert dunes at sunrise. A 5 km walk leads to Deadvlei, followed in the afternoon by a guided walk through Sesriem Canyon. Overnight in a lodge. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 4 Swakopmund
Departure towards Walvis Bay, where flamingos can often be seen. Arrival in Swakopmund in the afternoon, with free time to explore the town. Overnight in a hotel. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 5 Spitzkoppe
Free morning to explore the surroundings or join an optional excursion. After lunch, departure northwards to Spitzkoppe. In the afternoon, enjoy a self-guided walk in the area before spending the night at a tented camp under the stars of the southern hemisphere. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 6 Twyfelfontein
Travel to the Damaraland region, a land of striking contrasts with mountain ranges, vast gravel and sandy plains, dry riverbeds and patches of vegetation. Arrival at Twyfelfontein, followed by an approximately one-hour guided walk to discover the ancient San rock engravings. Overnight in a lodge. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 7 Epupa Falls
Continue towards the town of Opuwo. In this region, the semi-nomadic Himba people live in scattered settlements. Meet a local Himba guide for a visit to a village and an introduction to their fascinating culture. Overnight in a lodge. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 8 Opuwo
Free morning to visit the Epupa Falls, whose remote location has preserved their unspoiled natural setting. After lunch, departure towards Opuwo. Overnight in a lodge. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Days 9 and 10 Etosha National Park
After breakfast, depart for Etosha National Park, where the first game drive takes place in the overland truck. Etosha is one of Africa’s most important wildlife sanctuaries, home to thousands of animals including blue wildebeest, antelope, zebras, kudu, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, lions and elephants. The following day is also dedicated to game drives in the park. Overnight stays in lodges. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 11 Etosha National Park
Further exploration of Etosha National Park, including the impressive Etosha Pan, a vast salt pan that dominates the landscape. Overnight in a lodge. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 12 Windhoek
Final game drive in Etosha National Park before departing towards Windhoek. En route, stop at the Okahandja craft market. Overnight in a hotel in Windhoek. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 13 Departure, Windhoek
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and end of the journey. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).

Includes

Guided tour with Italian-speaking guide, accommodation in lodges, hotels and camps, meal plan* and activities as per itinerary, transfers in a Kiboko Overland vehicle, and airport transfers. * During travel days aboard the overland vehicle, meals are organized and prepared by the group, while at other stops meals are generally taken at local restaurants.
