An 11-day adventure discovering the spectacular landscapes of Patagonia, from pristine coastlines and penguin colonies to majestic glaciers and breathtaking peaks. The journey begins in Punta Arenas, Chile, with a boat excursion to Magdalena Island to observe penguins up close. It continues through the forests and mountains of Torres del Paine National Park, with guided treks amid extraordinary scenery. The adventure then moves to El Calafate, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, with a must-see visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier and free time to explore other local activities. Finally, the tour reaches El Chaltén in the heart of Los Glaciares National Park, the starting point for unforgettable hikes through glacial valleys and spectacular Andean vistas.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Punta Arenas (Chile)
The adventure begins in the picturesque and colorful city of Punta Arenas, the gateway to Patagonia. The day is free to explore the city. Highlights include Cerro de la Cruz, offering stunning views over the bay and colorful houses, and the Lord Lonsdale Shipwreck. At 6:00 PM, meet your guide and the rest of the group. Meals: not included.
Day 2 Magdalena Island
A full day excursion to the small, mostly untouched Magdalena Island, known for its dramatic landscapes, ocean views, and the largest penguin colonies in southern Chile. Visit the historic lighthouse and learn about the island’s local history. Back on the mainland, enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many waterfront restaurants. Penguin sightings are weather-dependent and may be canceled without notice. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 3 Torres del Paine National Park
Travel to the pristine wilderness of Torres del Paine National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage site features emerald forests, breathtaking landscapes, and wildlife such as condors, huemuls, and guanacos. Check into your campsite for a three-night stay, with free time to explore available activities. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 4 Torres del Paine National Park
A full day exploring the park with guided walks and optional activities to the most captivating spots, including glacial panoramas. The most famous trek leads to the iconic Torres, three towering granite peaks that give the park its name. In the evening, relax in one of the world’s most peaceful places and enjoy convivial moments with the group. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 5 Torres del Paine National Park
A free day to continue exploring the park. Your tour leader and local guides will provide advice based on weather and preferences. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 6 El Calafate (Argentina)
Next, travel to charming El Calafate, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Free time to browse local markets, enjoy coffee or ice cream, or try the region’s famous lamb. Meals: breakfast and lunch included (dinner not included).
Day 7 Perito Moreno Glacier
Experience the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier and surrounding park. Walk along trails and viewpoints for multiple perspectives of the glacier and unforgettable photo opportunities. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 8 El Calafate
A free day to explore the region further. Activities include trekking, kayaking, cruises on Lake Argentino among icebergs, or visiting an estancia (sheep farm) with traditional Argentine barbecue and horseback riding. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 9 El Chaltén
Travel to El Chaltén, a picturesque village in Los Glaciares National Park and starting point for many scenic hikes. En route, enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the tour, including a stop at Mount Fitz Roy for photos. Evening at leisure to explore the village and dine at local restaurants. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 10 Los Glacieres National Park
A full day exploring Los Glaciares National Park. Meet your local guide at the hotel and transfer to El Pilar along the road to Lago del Desierto. Begin a trek along the Río Blanco to Poincenot Camp, passing viewpoints at Piedras Blancas Glacier and the Marconi Valley. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views of the Fitz Roy massif, Laguna de los Tres, Glacier de los Tres, Laguna Sucia, and Glacier Sucio. Return via the traditional route to El Chaltén. Shorter, unguided routes are available for those preferring less challenging hikes. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 11 Departure, El Chaltén
The tour concludes in El Chaltén, with optional free time before transfer to El Calafate Airport. Meals: breakfast included (lunch and dinner not included).

Includes

Guided tour with an English-speaking guide, accommodation in hotels and camps, camping equipment, transfers aboard the Oasis Expedition Truck, meal plan* and activities as per itinerary. * During travel days aboard the overland vehicle, meals are organized and prepared by the group, while at other stops meals are generally taken at local restaurants.
