The experience is enriched by a husky sled excursion, an introduction to Viking culture, the iconic rorbuer, the white sands of Ramberg Beach, and visits to charming villages such as Reine. Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Tromsø

Arrival at Tromsø Airport, transfer by Flybussen to the hotel, and overnight stay.

Day 2 Tromsø

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your tour leader and depart by bus for a city tour of Tromsø, the “capital” of the Northern Lights. Tromsø is set between majestic mountains and beautiful fjords. During the polar night season, the sun does not rise above the horizon for nearly 50 days, creating an even more atmospheric setting. In the afternoon, enjoy a husky sledding excursion. Thermal clothing will be provided, along with a hot drink to keep you warm. Return to the hotel and overnight stay. Evening at leisure to dine in one of the city’s restaurants.

Day 3 Harstad

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus from Tromsø towards the Vesterålen Islands. Stop in Harstad, a town set on a hill at the northern end of Hinnøya. Harstad is the largest settlement in the area and technically part of Troms county. A small industrial and military hub, with docks, tanks, and warehouses, it offers a striking contrast to the more relaxed fishing and tourism-based villages further south, giving it a distinct sense of energy. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4 Lofoten Islands

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the stunning Lofoten Islands via a scenic route. The Arctic light reveals its full spectrum of colors until sunset, when the Northern Lights may begin their display. Stop in Svolvær, considered the “capital” of the Lofoten Islands and a port of call for the famous Hurtigruten coastal service. Free time for lunch in town. In the afternoon, continue to Gimsøya and then to Leknes, in the central part of the archipelago, where you will find the traditional rorbuer of Statles, charming fishermen’s cabins that offer an authentic Northern Norway experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. Optional evening excursion: “Northern Lights Hunt in the Lofoten Islands” by bus with a guide.

Day 5 Lofoten Islands

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the southern part of the Lofoten Islands. The day is dedicated to exploring this extraordinary area, where the landscape takes on almost surreal qualities. Steep mountains plunge directly into the sea, creating dramatic and unforgettable scenery. Several stops are planned, including the picturesque fishing villages of Å and Reine, as well as a photo stop at the stunning white sands of Ramberg Beach. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Lofoten Islands

Breakfast at the hotel. The morning is dedicated to a visit to the Lofotr Viking Museum, located in Borg, one of the most important historical sites in the Lofoten Islands. The museum is built within a reconstructed Viking longhouse, faithfully recreated according to original architecture and measuring an impressive 83 meters in length. After the visit, continue towards the northern part of the Lofoten Islands, exploring remarkable locations with your tour leader. Among them is Henningsvær, known as one of the largest fishing villages in the region. Here, traditional buildings set directly over the sea house charming bars and restaurants with beautiful views over the harbor and village. Departure for Harstad, arrival in the evening, transfer to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 7 Departure, Harstad

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer by Flybussen to Evenes Airport.
