Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Arusha
Your safari begins with an early morning briefing at your hotel in Arusha, before departing for one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets: Tarangire National Park. This gem is famous for its towering baobabs, impressive elephant herds, and remarkable wildlife concentration. During the dry season (June–September), the Tarangire River attracts thousands of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, wildebeest, kudu, and oryx. Where prey gathers, predators follow – keep your camera ready, as lion and leopard sightings can be thrillingly close. With over 550 bird species and wide-open spaces, Tarangire offers intimate game-viewing and incredible wildlife. The day is dedicated to safari drives, with a picnic lunch included.
Day 2 Tarangire National Park
A full day to explore the park.
Day 3 Karatu
Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, followed by a transfer to the highlands of Karatu, with a scenic stop along the way to admire Lake Manyara.
From day 4 to day 6 Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
Spend the morning exploring Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. This vast volcanic caldera offers extraordinary game-viewing opportunities: encounter the Big Five and a stunning variety of bird species, all framed by forested crater walls. (On some itineraries, the crater visit may take place on Day 3 in the afternoon. Exact timing will be confirmed by your guide at the start of the safari.) Continue on to the Serengeti, where you may witness the great wildebeest migration. The next three nights are spent in the Serengeti Wilderness Camps, selected according to the season. Days are spent exploring the Serengeti on guided game drives. An optional activity includes a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti.
Day 7 Departure, Arusha
After breakfast, return to Arusha by road (6–8 hours depending on your accommodation, with wildlife viewing en route), or transfer to the local airstrip for your optional flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. This is a scenic flight across the Rift Valley escarpments and Ngorongoro highlands. If you are staying in the Northern Serengeti, the return flight is compulsory, as the distance to Arusha or Kilimanjaro is too far to cover in a single day.

Guided tour with an English-speaking guide, accommodation in lodges and camps, flight from Kogatende to Arusha if staying in Northern Serengeti, meal plan, activities and transfers as per itinerary.
