Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Nairobi (Kenya)
Arrival in Nairobi and transfer to the camp. If time allows, several optional excursions are available, such as visiting the elephants at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Meals: not included.
Day 2 Nairobi
Morning pre-departure briefing, during which the team will show you the vehicle that will be your home for the next days, explain how to set up and take down the tents, and introduce the itinerary. Visit the Nairobi Giraffe Centre, a sanctuary and conservation centre for Rothschild giraffes. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 3 From Nairobi to Meserani Snake Park (Tanzania)
Travel south across the border into Tanzania, through savannah and local villages. Overnight at Meserani Snake Park, on the outskirts of Arusha, preparing for the Serengeti safari the next day. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 4 Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, journey to one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world: Serengeti National Park. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where fossils providing key insights into human evolution were discovered. Visit the museum to admire the gorge, learn about its history, and see prehistoric fossils and tools. Continue to your camp in the heart of the Serengeti plains for tents and dinner. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 5 Serengeti National Park
Early morning safari in search of iconic wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and buffalo, as well as lesser-known species like dik-dik, mice, dung beetles, and mongooses. Depending on the season, witness the migration of wildebeest and enjoy a variety of birdlife. Return to camp for lunch and rest before an afternoon safari to explore new areas. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 6 Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Start the day with an early morning game drive or optional hot air balloon experience. After an early lunch at camp, head towards the Ngorongoro Crater rim, stopping at a traditional Maasai village along the way, before reaching Simba Campsite for the night. If time permits, enjoy a guided walk along the crater rim. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 7 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning safari from the crater rim to the bottom, home to a wide variety of animals and plants. Observe zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, elephants, and possibly the rare leopard or black rhino. Picnic lunch at the crater floor before the last safari and return to Arusha. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 8 Marangu
Travel to Marangu at the foot of Africa’s iconic Mount Kilimanjaro. Two-night stay with free time in the afternoon to settle in and relax. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 9 Marangu
Village walk, exploring the surrounding greenery, caves, waterfalls, and coffee plantations. Opportunity to observe a local blacksmith at work. Optional adventurous hike to one of Kilimanjaro’s base camps. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 10 Bagamoyo
Depart Marangu heading south to the beach! Bagamoyo, a beautiful coastal town along the Indian Ocean, is a perfect stop en route to Dar es Salaam. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 11 Nungwi
Continue to Dar es Salaam and take the ferry to Zanzibar. Arrive in Nungwi, a stunning coastal location where you will stay for the next four nights. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 12 Stone Town and Surroundings
Explore Zanzibar’s rich history on a spice tour. Wander the lively streets of Stone Town and visit the spice market, then venture outside town to see how spices and other local products are grown. Includes a traditional lunch. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included)
Day 13 Nungwi
Free day for snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, diving, or simply relaxing on Zanzibar’s famous white beaches. Local representative available for optional activities. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 14 Nungwi
Another free day to enjoy Zanzibar. Group dinner in the evening to celebrate the last night of the trip and share memories of the past two weeks. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 15 Departure, Dar es Salaam
The tour ends after breakfast. Airport transfer included. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)

Guided itinerary with tour leader, accommodation in hotels/lodges and camps, meal plan* and activities as per itinerary, transfers on board the Oasis Expedition Truck, camping and kitchen equipment, airport transfers. *During travel days aboard the overland vehicle, meals are organized and prepared by the group, while at other stops meals are generally taken at local restaurants.
