Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Johannesburg (South africa)
After arriving in Johannesburg, depart for the outskirts of the capital, Pretoria, and then head towards the vast African plains. Lunch in the historic gold-mining village of Haenertsburg and visit Magoebaskloof, a spectacular and lush mountainous area. The day concludes in the Greater Kruger, known worldwide for its protected natural environment and diverse wildlife, where you will stay for two nights in a lodge within a private reserve. Meals: dinner (breakfast and lunch not included).
Day 2 Kruger Bush Lodge
Morning exploration of the wilderness of the Greater Kruger with a qualified ranger, followed by a few hours of relaxation and a sunset game drive. Meals: brunch and dinner.
Day 3 Panorama Route and Hazyview
Departure for the impressive Blyde River Canyon, the largest “green canyon” in the world, and visit the charming town of Pilgrim’s Rest. Continue to the tranquil Greenfire Lodge Hazyview, built on the banks of the Sabie River. In addition to being an oasis in nature, coffee, limes, and macadamia nuts are also produced here. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included).
Day 4 Kruger National Park
Arrival at Kruger National Park for a full day of game drives. Return to Greenfire Lodge Hazyview in the evening. Meals: packed breakfast, snacks, dinner (lunch not included).
Day 5 eSwatini
Pass through the city of Mbombela before leaving South Africa and crossing the border into the kingdom of eSwatini, a small country rich in culture and natural beauty. Explore its mountainous areas, local nature, and craftsmanship before reaching your next accommodation for a traditional meal. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Days 6 and 7 St Lucia (South Africa)
Visit the eSwatini countryside, then cross back into South Africa and reach Zululand, part of present-day KwaZulu-Natal and home of the Zulu people. Continue to the lively coastal town of St Lucia, where you will stay for two nights. Here you will visit the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a unique habitat home to hippos, rhinos, crocodiles, buffalo, various bird species, and explore beaches and natural pools. Meals: 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches (dinners not included).
Days 8 and 9 Drakensberg
After crossing the gentle hills of KwaZulu-Natal, reach the Drakensberg mountain range, 3,400 meters high, where you will stay for two nights. The next day, hike in the Tugela Gorge in the Royal Natal National Park, part of the Drakensberg World Heritage Site. Enjoy spectacular views of the Tugela Falls, the second highest waterfalls in the world at 948 meters. Meals: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners.
Day 10 Southern Drakensberg
Travel south to the inland province, a lush farming area considered one of South Africa’s most beautiful. Stay on a ranch and spend the day exploring the farm and its fascinating history. For the adventurous, there is the option to help with farm activities in the morning or afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner made with local ingredients. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Days 11 and 12 Wild Coast
Arrive at one of the most exciting and off-the-beaten-path locations on the tour: the Wild Coast. Explore its pristine beaches, lush wilderness, and Xhosa villages, staying for two nights in Coffee Bay. Take a hike to the Hole in the Wall, an impressive natural rock arch shaped by the waves over centuries. Meals: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners.
Day 13 Wild Coast and Cradock
Depart the Wild Coast, following lesser-known roads through the Eastern Cape province and into the Great Karoo, reaching Cradock, a 19th-century town in the upper Great Fish River Valley. A guide will take you on a walking tour to discover the area’s rich local history. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 14 Mountain Zebra Park, Addo Elephant Park, and Nelson Mandela Bay
Before breakfast, visit Mountain Zebra Park, a unique semi-desert area of the Great Karoo home to endangered mountain zebras, springbok, ostriches, cheetahs, buffalo, black rhinos, and many bird species. After breakfast at the hotel, visit Addo Elephant Park, then arrive in the late afternoon at a hotel on the waterfront of beautiful Nelson Mandela Bay and explore the area. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 15 Garden Route and Knysna
Travel along the spectacular Garden Route, admiring stunning natural scenery between the ocean and mountains. Stop at Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park for a walk along the rugged coast and across the suspension bridge over the Storms River mouth. Arrive in the afternoon at the vibrant town of Knysna, surrounded by forests, fynbos, and lagoons. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 16 Cape Agulhas
Depart from Knysna, following the coast through various towns to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of the African continent. Take a short walk to the beach to experience where the cold Atlantic meets the warm Indian Ocean, and enjoy a picnic-style lunch before reaching your accommodation in Arniston. An afternoon walk to the massive Waenhuiskrans sea cave is recommended. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Days 17 and 18 Departure, Cape Town
In the morning, arrive in Hermanus via the Whale Route, famous for excellent land-based whale watching, and continue towards the Hottentots Holland Mountains to Betty’s Bay to see a small colony of African penguins. In the afternoon, drive along one of the world’s most scenic coastal roads along False Bay, arriving at the aha Harbour Bridge Hotel in Cape Town, ideally located near award-winning restaurants, art galleries, vibrant nightlife, and the oceanfront promenade. The tour ends after breakfast the following day. Meals: 2 breakfasts (lunch and dinner not included).
