Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Nairobi (Kenya)
Your journey begins in Nairobi. In the late afternoon, there will be a pre-tour briefing followed by dinner at a local restaurant (not included). Early arrivals can explore the city on their own or, upon request, book organized excursions. Meals: not included
Day 2 Masai Mara National Reserve
Immerse yourself in adventure as you travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, the road climbs to the edge of the Great Rift Valley, offering spectacular views. The reserve is famous for the annual migration of wildebeest and zebras, which generally occurs between July and October depending on the rains. Arrival in the afternoon and overnight for the next two nights at a campsite adjacent to the park. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 3 Masai Mara National Reserve
A full day of safari within the park, tracking the big predators and seasonal migrations whenever possible. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner around the fire. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 4 Mount Longonot National Park
Head towards Mount Longonot National Park and its dormant volcano, whose last eruption occurred in the early 1900s. Leaving the vehicles temporarily, take a guided hike to the rim of the crater and admire the caldera and views of the Rift Valley. Picnic lunch with a view before returning to the vehicles and continuing to the camp on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 5 Hell’s Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha
Depart for the famous Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can explore the park’s towering cliffs and possibly spot zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. Return to the camp for lunch. Continue with a boat cruise on Lake Naivasha to spot hippos and the many bird species inhabiting the area. In the afternoon, visit Elsamere, the first home of Joy and George Adamson, the famous wildlife conservationists who became friends with lions. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 6 Arusha (Tanzania)
Depart for Tanzania and the city of Arusha, passing through the outskirts of Nairobi. Crossing the border, you will see the peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro through the clouds and skirt the base of Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth-highest mountain. Arusha, known as the “safari capital” of Tanzania, is a lively hub for tour operators and travelers worldwide, and an important regional diplomatic center. Meals: breakfast, lunch (dinner not included)
Day 7 Serengeti National Park
Depart for the vast Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s most famous and fascinating parks. Travel up the slopes of Ngorongoro before descending to the Serengeti plains. Wildlife is abundant year-round, with predators always following the herds. Spend two nights camping on the Serengeti plains, with safaris during the day and evenings around the campfire. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 8 Serengeti National Park
A full day exploring the park from dawn to dusk. The guide will explain the behavior and habits of the animals you encounter, with regular breaks. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 9 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an engaging morning safari in the Serengeti, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, passing through Maasai lands. Accommodation at Simba Camp on the crater rim offers breathtaking views. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 10 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
In the morning, descend into the crater in 4x4 vehicles for one of the most spectacular safaris. This unique ecosystem is home to numerous mammals, including the rare black rhinoceros. Return to Simba Camp for lunch and exit the park in the early afternoon. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 11 Mto Wa Mbu
In the morning, visit the village of Mto Wa Mbu accompanied by a Maasai guide, learning about their lifestyle, culture, and role in the modern world. Enjoy lunch in the village, followed by an afternoon exploring local markets and shopping. The evening concludes with dinner at the camp to celebrate the safari and the final night together. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 12 Departure, Arusha (Tanzania) / Nairobi (Kenya)
After breakfast, depart to return to Arusha. It is also possible to continue to Nairobi aboard the Drifters Truck, traveling through spectacular landscapes. During the transfer to the city, the vehicle will stop at the airport for those departing on the same day, while those staying in Nairobi or continuing their journey will be dropped off in the city center. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).

Guided tour with an English-speaking guide, accommodation in hotels and camps, meal plan, activities, and transfers as per itinerary. * During travel days aboard the overland vehicle, meals are organized and prepared by the group, while at other stops meals are generally taken at local restaurants.
