Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Bishkek (Kirghizistan)

A day at leisure to explore Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and discover its numerous cafés, restaurants, nightlife spots, and shopping areas. The city also hosts several museums, such as the National Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan and the Zoological Museum, offering insights into the country’s political and natural history. Parks and public spaces are ideal for observing daily local life, with Ala-Too Square being a standout.

Days 2 to 4 Osh

You will leave Bishkek and travel through spectacular mountain landscapes and the turquoise waters of the Toktogul reservoir before arriving in Osh, the country’s oldest city and second largest. Don’t miss the bazaar, which has been in the same location for over 2,000 years and once served as a key stop along the ancient Silk Road

Days 5 to 13 Pamir Highway

The next 8 days are dedicated to a journey through the mountains along one of the world’s most famous and scenic roads: the Pamir Highway. You will first head south to the foot of the mountains, reaching a camp near Sary Mogul. Here, you can take short hikes or detours to explore scenic mountain lakes. You will continue across the border into Tajikistan and reach Lake Karakul. The highest point of the Pamir Highway awaits you at the Akbaital Pass, at 4,655 meters, from where you will descend to Murghab, once a significant Soviet military station and now primarily inhabited by Kyrgyz people. Here you will find a market and handcrafted yak wool items. The journey continues through remote and captivating landscapes to Khorog, the capital of the mountainous Badakhshan region, where you can visit the bazaar and botanical gardens. From here, you will follow the Panj River, with the Afghan border just a few hundred meters away, towards Kalai Khumb. From the archaeological site of Karon, enjoy stunning mountain views. Finally, you will cross the Shurobod Pass to reach Kulob and descend through hills and plains, passing by the Nurek Dam, until arriving in Dushanbe

Day 14 Departure, Dushanbe (Tagikistan)

The journey concludes after breakfast in Dushanbe, Tajikistan’s largest city. You can take some free time to explore this impressive and scenic metropolis, which contrasts sharply with the country’s eastern regions. Options include strolling through parks, admiring fountains and tree-lined avenues with majestic buildings, visiting the Flag Pole Park, exploring the bazaar, or enjoying the variety of restaurants offering international cuisine
