Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Evenes/Harstad
Arrival at Evenes/Harstad Airport. Independent transfer to your hotel in Harstad, or optional Flybussen shuttle service or private transfer (available at an additional cost). Hotel check-in, free evening and overnight stay.
Day 2 Svolvær and Henningsvær
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with your tour leader. Departure towards the heart of the Lofoten Islands. Along the way, stops at Austnesfjorden and other scenic viewpoints to admire this extraordinary archipelago of seven main islands and countless islets connected by bridges and coastal roads. Late morning arrival in Svolvær, followed by a RIB boat excursion in the spectacular Trollfjord to spot sea eagles. Afternoon arrival in Henningsvær, a charming fishing village spread across several small islands connected by bridges. Check-in at the hotel in Henningsvær or nearby area, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Henningsvær
After breakfast, continue exploring the highlights of the Lofoten Islands, including iconic beaches such as Haukland and Uttakleiv — long stretches of white sand washed by crystal-clear waters, dramatically framed by rugged peaks. Along the route, enjoy additional scenic stops where sea and mountains merge into postcard-perfect landscapes. Visit the Lofotr Viking Museum for a fascinating journey into Viking life and architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 Leknes
After breakfast, continue south through the archipelago to the picturesque villages of Reine, Hamnøy and Å, renowned for their red fishermen’s cabins (rorbu) set on stilts along the shoreline and for their long-standing stockfish traditions. Visit the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum to learn about the life of fishermen and the importance of fishing in the region. In the afternoon, stops at Ramberg Beach and the village of Stamsund. Check-in at the hotel in the Leknes area, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Stokmarknes
Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards the Vesterålen Islands, a region of unspoilt wilderness characterised by jagged mountains, deep fjords and remote fishing villages. En route, ferry crossing from Fiskebøl to Melbu, offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Continue to Stokmarknes, the main centre of the archipelago and a key location in Norway’s coastal navigation history. Guided visit to the Hurtigruten Museum, retracing over a century of maritime heritage. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 Andenes and Harstad
Early breakfast and departure for northern Vesterålen, reaching Andenes at the northern tip of the archipelago. Here, enjoy an unforgettable whale-watching excursion by boat. Andenes is one of the best places in the world to spot these majestic creatures. Accompanied by expert guides and marine biologists, you may see sperm whales, humpbacks and, with some luck, even orcas. In the late afternoon, return to Harstad along a scenic route, with external views of Dverberg Church on Andøya Island and the historic Trondenes Church, the northernmost medieval stone church in the world, dating back to the 15th century. Arrival at the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 Departure, Evenes/Harstad
Breakfast at the hotel and independent transfer to Evenes/Harstad Airport, or optional shuttle or private transfer (available at an additional cost).
