Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Reykjavik
Arrival in Reykjavik, transfer by Flybussen to the hotel, and overnight stay.
Day 2 Golden Circle
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your tour leader and depart for the Golden Circle, including Thingvellir National Park – the site of Iceland’s ancient parliament – where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drift apart by 2–6 cm per year. Continue to Gullfoss waterfall, where, with a bit of luck, you may witness the dramatic effect of ice partially freezing the cascading water. Then head to the Geysir geothermal area, where Strokkur erupts every 5–10 minutes. Return to Reykjavik and overnight stay.
Day 3 Reykjavik
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, discover Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, passing by Höfði House. The tour continues to the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, winner of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture in 2013. In the city center, you will stop at Hallgrímskirkja Church, whose design was inspired by basalt columns, a volcanic rock formation typical of Icelandic landscapes. The tour also includes the harbor and the famous 101 Reykjavik district. Free afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a special New Year’s Eve dinner at one of the city’s most renowned restaurants. After dinner, you will join a bus tour to see the traditional bonfires, one of Iceland’s most beloved New Year traditions. These fires symbolize collective purification, helping to release the burdens of the past year and welcome a fresh start. Upon return to Reykjavik, you are free to continue the celebrations in the city. Overnight stay.
Day 4 Blue Lagoon
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning begins at a more relaxed pace as you welcome the New Year with a rejuvenating bath in the Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most iconic attractions. Its milky-blue waters are truly unique, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding black lava fields. The temperature remains a constant 39°C (102°F) year-round, making it perfect even in winter. After the experience, enjoy a two-course lunch at the exclusive LAVA Restaurant. Then depart for southern Iceland and check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Jökulsárlón Glacier and Diamond Beach
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards southeast Iceland to visit the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Boat tours are not available in winter, but the scenery is absolutely unmissable. On sunny winter days, the varying shades of white and blue ice create a truly magical atmosphere, and you may even spot seals swimming in the lagoon. A stop is also planned at Diamond Beach, named after the ice fragments scattered along the black sand, resembling sparkling diamonds. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 6 Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss Waterfalls, Eyjafjallajökull Volcano, Reykjavik
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, begin your journey back to Reykjavik, stopping along the way at Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, as well as the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Arrival in Reykjavik and overnight stay.
