Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Johannesburg
Departure from Johannesburg at 06:30, travelling along the scenic road leading to the north-east of the country, with a lunch stop in the charming historic town of Haenertsburg. The route unfolds through evocative landscapes, from mountain passes to acacia trees dotting the African bushveld. Arrival at the Bush Lodge, located in a private reserve within the Kruger National Park, where wildlife moves freely and without restrictions. You will spend two nights here, surrounded by abundant wildlife and spectacular scenery. Meals: dinner (breakfast and lunch not included).
Day 2 Bush Lodge
In the morning, accompanied by a qualified guide/ranger, you will explore the wilderness and, before the heat of the day sets in, return to the lodge for a delicious brunch and time to relax while enjoying the tranquillity of the surrounding nature. As temperatures drop in the late afternoon, you will head out on another safari in an open vehicle, which will turn into a night drive in search of animals that become active after sunset. Meals: brunch and dinner.
Day 3 Panorama Route and Hazyview
After breakfast, departure to explore the Panorama Route, renowned for its extraordinary natural scenery and breathtaking viewpoints. The first stop is the majestic Blyde River Canyon – the largest “green canyon” in the world – followed by Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the spectacular God’s Window (weather permitting). Lunch is not included and offers the perfect opportunity to meet local people and soak up the atmosphere of the area. In the early afternoon, continue to Greenfire Lodge Hazyview, built on stilts within indigenous forest and overlooking the scenic Sabie River. Time permitting, enjoy a walk around the property and the nearby coffee plantation, exploring the forest surroundings. You will stay here for two nights. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 4 Kruger National Park
You will leave the lodge at dawn, heading to another area of the Kruger National Park for a full day of safari activities. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and return to Greenfire Lodge Hazyview for a well-deserved evening of relaxation. Meals: packed breakfast, snacks and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 5 Departure, Johannesburg
After breakfast, you will leave Hazyview and begin the journey back to Johannesburg, following the route once travelled by the first gold prospectors. The tour ends in the late afternoon. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).

Includes

Guided tour with English-speaking guide, accommodation in camps and lodges, meal plan*, activities and transfers as per itinerary. * During travel days aboard the overland vehicle, meals are organized and prepared by the group, while at other stops meals are generally taken at local restaurants.
