After breakfast, departure for The Dark Hedges, a beautiful avenue of beech trees planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to impress visitors approaching their Georgian mansion, Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and are now one of the most photographed natural attractions in Northern Ireland, also famous for appearing in the TV series Game of Thrones. Continue along the spectacular Causeway Coastal Route towards the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique formation consists of over 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns rising directly from the sea: immerse yourself in the charm of ancient legends telling of giants and mythical beings said to have inhabited these lands. Day dedicated to Derry. Walking tour of the city and visit to the Museum of Free Derry, which also tells the story of Bloody Sunday, when British troops opened fire on civilians in the Bogside. It recounts how the people of Derry, led by the victims’ families, overcame injustice and helped shape a new chapter in civil rights history, inspiring movements worldwide. After breakfast, visit the stunning Kylemore Abbey (interiors and gardens), a 19th-century residence set in one of the most picturesque landscapes of Connemara, now home to a Benedictine community. Free lunch. Continue with a coach excursion through Connemara, a wild region known for its stone walls, small farms and traditional thatched cottages. Be captivated by its rugged coastline, inlets stretching into Galway Bay and mountains offering breathtaking views over lakes, creating an unforgettable landscape. After a traditional Irish breakfast, depart for the Burren, a fascinating karst region where water has carved caves and underground formations over time. Within this lunar-like landscape lies the Poulnabrone Dolmen, the Burren’s most famous prehistoric monument, dating back to 3800–3200 BC. Continue through County Clare and stop at the majestic Cliffs of Moher, rising 200 metres above the Atlantic and stretching for 8 km: an awe-inspiring sight. Free lunch.
