Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Amman
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, just outside Amman, you will be welcomed by local staff. After your transfer to the hotel, the rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring the city independently. Meals: not included
Day 2 As-Salt and Amman
The first stop is the hill town of As-Salt, once the capital of the Amman region, known for its traditional Islamic architecture built from fine yellow limestone, which can still be admired in many historic buildings and narrow streets. You will take a walk along the “Harmony Trail” to learn about the history of As-Salt and daily life in Jordan. In the afternoon, a tour of Amman will include the Citadel, the Roman Theater with 6,000 seats (still used for cultural events), and a food experience in the city center to sample local dishes. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 3 Dana Biosphere Reserve and Aqaba
The day begins with a visit to the Dana Biosphere Reserve, set among hills and stunning landscapes. Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve, offering spectacular views of valleys and hills along its trails and through the restored village. Spring is particularly beautiful, with green landscapes and blooming flowers. After a packed lunch, enjoy a walk before continuing to Aqaba on the Red Sea, where the evening and following morning are free. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included)
Day 4 Aqaba and Wadi Rum
The morning is free to relax on the Red Sea or explore Aqaba. The clear waters and coral reefs around Aqaba offer some of the best snorkeling and diving spots in the Red Sea. In the afternoon, depart Aqaba for the stunning desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, where friendly Bedouins will welcome you to a comfortable camp at the foot of towering rocks and cliffs. The evening will be spent relaxing at the camp and enjoying a traditional Jordanian meal, including “Zarb,” a Bedouin dish of lamb and chicken cooked underground. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 5 Wadi Rum and Petra
After breakfast at the Bedouin camp, embark on a jeep safari among the dunes and the imposing “jebels” of Wadi Rum, with stops to climb the dunes and admire unique rock formations. Experience local Bedouin traditions with a walk alongside a shepherd and his sheep and goats to a Bedouin tent. Other traditional activities may include sheep and goat shearing, milking, grain milling, bread preparation, and coffee roasting, followed by lunch. Afterward, return to the camp by jeep before continuing to Petra. In the evening, you may join the optional “Petra by Night” tour, walking through the Siq to the Treasury illuminated by hundreds of candles. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included)
Day 6 Petra
The day is fully dedicated to exploring the Nabatean site of Petra. Located on the edge of the Wadi Araba desert, it is nearly inaccessible except through the narrow Siq. Your route is alternative and less crowded, starting from Little Petra (Siq al-Barid). After exploring, a short jeep transfer takes you to the beginning of the mountain trail leading to the Monastery and the main Petra site. The route continues to the Monastery (‘Ad-Deir’) before descending to Petra’s main area. The alternative path is not particularly difficult but includes many ascents, descents, and numerous steps, recommended only for those accustomed to this type of terrain. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 7 Wadi Mujib, Siq Trail, and Dead Sea
After breakfast in Petra, travel to the Dead Sea via Wadi Mujib, where you will hike the scenic Siq Trail and enjoy views of the salt flats at the southern end of the Dead Sea. Continue along the Dead Sea shores to the Wadi Mujib visitor center, where you can immerse yourself in the water to start the hike. Enter the Wadi Mujib Nature Reserve, where from April to October you can follow a thrilling trail through shallow water in the gorge, ending at a large waterfall. (From November to March, when the Siq Trail is closed, a visit to the Baptism Site at Bethany is scheduled.) At the end of the day, arrive at your Dead Sea resort for free time to swim—or better, float—in the incredibly salty waters and relax by the pool. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 8 Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Jerash
The tour continues to nearby Madaba, famous for its Byzantine mosaics and the “Madaba Map,” the oldest preserved map of the Holy Land. From Madaba, continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land and is believed to be buried. On clear days, spectacular views of Jericho and beyond are visible. The final visit of the day is to the ancient city of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities outside Europe, including the Forum, Roman colonnaded streets, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis on one of the city’s highest points, before returning to Amman. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 9 Departure, Amman
The day is free to explore Amman until your transfer from the hotel to the airport. Optional visits are available for late afternoon or evening flights, including a tour to the Baptism Site at Bethany on the Jordan River. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
