A 10-day journey into the wild heart of Botswana, limited to a maximum of 7 participants, offering an intimate and authentic experience. From traditional villages to the untamed expanses of Moremi and Khwai, the landscape comes alive with elephants, predators, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife. The Okavango Delta reveals itself both from above and from the water, through silent channels, lush islands, and lagoons dotted with water lilies. Days unfold between thrilling safaris and quiet moments beneath endless skies. In the Kalahari, an encounter with the Bushmen tells the story of an ancient bond between people and desert. Nights spent in tented camps, wrapped in the sounds of the savannah, complete an intense and deeply African experience.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Maun
Upon arrival at Maun Airport, guests are met and transferred by road to the lodge located just outside town on the banks of the Boteti River. Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, is a lively frontier town surrounded by striking natural beauty. The afternoon is at leisure to relax after the journey: enjoy a refreshing swim or a sundowner as the African sun sets. Dinner is served at the lodge’s open-air restaurant, offering a taste of local flavours. Meals: Dinner (breakfast and lunch not included)
Day 2 Khwai Concession
The day begins with a guided walk through Chanoga Village, offering insight into the daily life and traditions of local families. After breakfast at the lodge, the journey continues northeast toward the Khwai Concession, a pristine community-managed wilderness bordering Moremi Game Reserve. A scenic picnic lunch accompanies the drive into some of Botswana’s most intact ecosystems. Arrival at an exclusive tented camp set among the trees, followed by dinner under the stars, immersed in the sounds of the bush. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 3 Moremi Game Reserve
An unforgettable safari experience awaits in the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, celebrated for its exceptional wildlife density and diverse habitats. After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive through mopane forests, floodplains, and open grasslands. Keep cameras ready for sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, and abundant birdlife. A scenic bush brunch is enjoyed before continuing the exploration. Return to camp in the late afternoon for relaxation before dinner. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 4 Khwai Concession
A slower-paced day offers deeper insight into the Khwai ecosystem. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely game drive with opportunities to spot predators, antelope, and birds. Lunch is served back at camp, followed by a free afternoon to relax in the tent, sit by the river, or enjoy birdwatching from the deck. Dinner is served around the campfire. Day 5 Okavango Delta
After an early breakfast, transfer by scenic charter flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. From above, watch rivers fan out into a lush maze of channels, islands, and lagoons. Land at a remote delta lodge surrounded by unspoiled wilderness. After lunch, enjoy a sunset boat cruise, gliding through papyrus-lined waterways as hippos surface nearby and the sky turns golden. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 6 Okavango Delta
A day dedicated to the serenity of the Okavango. After breakfast, depart on a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) excursion, silently navigating narrow channels and crystal-clear pools. A local guide interprets the delta’s rich ecosystem, passing water lilies, reeds, and possibly spotting a sitatunga antelope. A picnic lunch is enjoyed on one of the islands. The afternoon is at leisure at the lodge before dinner. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 7 Okavango Delta
Enjoy a relaxed morning and choose how to spend the day. An optional helicopter flight over the delta (at own expense) offers a breathtaking aerial perspective of one of the world’s most unique landscapes. Alternatively, take part in guided bush walks or relax at the lodge with a book and binoculars. Meals are served on the deck overlooking the water, where elephants are often seen nearby. Day 8 Central Kalahari
After breakfast, bid farewell to the lush waterways and journey toward the stark beauty of the Central Kalahari. The drive reveals a dramatic shift in scenery, from wetlands to dry savannahs and semi-desert. A packed lunch is enjoyed en route. In the late afternoon, arrive at a remote tented camp set among rocky outcrops and vast open skies. Enjoy a peaceful evening in one of Africa’s largest wilderness areas. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 9 Central Kalahari
Wake early for a captivating cultural experience with local San Bushmen. Learn about their ancient way of life, including tracking skills, medicinal plants, and survival techniques passed down through generations. Return to camp for lunch before an afternoon game drive across the expansive savannah, with possible sightings of oryx, jackals, springbok, and predators. The day concludes with dinner and stargazing beneath the brilliant African sky. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 10 Departure, Maun
After breakfast, travel back to Maun through the vast Kalahari landscapes. Lunch is at own expense en route. Arrival in Maun is scheduled for the late afternoon. Transfers for onward travel can be arranged. An optional post-tour night at Drifters Maun Lodge is available for a final evening of rest before departure. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
