It then continues to the spectacular Halong Bay, explored aboard a traditional junk boat, with excursions and kayaking among its iconic limestone islets. The journey carries on with an exciting overnight train to Hoi An, a charming town shaped by centuries of multicultural influences. Here, families enjoy guided visits to the historic centre, authentic encounters with local farmers and fishermen, and relaxing days by the beach. The tour concludes in Ho Chi Minh City with city sightseeing and a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, for an itinerary that perfectly blends discovery, adventure and fun for the whole family

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Hanoi
Arrival in Hanoi and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city independently or relax at the hotel. Meals: not included.
Day 2 Hanoi
The day is entirely dedicated to a guided city tour. You will start with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, followed by the Temple of Literature, before stopping for a traditional Vietnamese lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ethnology Museum, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Afterwards, enjoy a walk through the narrow and lively streets of the Old Quarter. The evening ends with a traditional water puppet show. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 3 Hanoi
The morning begins with a visit to the Hanoi Cooking Centre for a full immersion into Vietnamese cuisine. After a special welcome tea, there will be a brief introduction to local cooking followed by a visit to Chau Long Market, guided by the chef. Back at the HCC, the cooking class begins, during which you will taste local products and receive all the recipes to take home. At the end of the class, you will enjoy the meal you prepared, receive an HCC gift and have the opportunity to purchase spices, utensils and books used during the day. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 4 Halong Bay – Cruise
Transfer along the coast to Halong Bay. Here you will board a traditional junk boat to begin exploring the bay, sailing among impressive cliffs and limestone islands. During the day you will visit Sung Sot Cave, with an easy walk to admire stalactite and stalagmite formations, and stop at Ti Top Island for further exploration and swimming. In the evening, you may take part in a cooking demonstration on deck or simply relax while enjoying a freshly prepared seafood dinner as you admire the sunset over the bay. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 5 Cruise
Early in the morning, you may join a Tai Chi session on the deck. The cruise continues through the bay, with a visit to a floating fishing village by sampan or kayak. After a local lunch, you will explore the Drum Cave area by kayak, then return to the boat for some free time before dinner. In the evening, another cooking demonstration will be available, and those interested can try squid fishing directly from the boat. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 6 Cruise – Hanoi
In the morning, there is another opportunity to practise Tai Chi on deck, followed by a visit to Luon Cave, accessible by kayak or bamboo boat. Breakfast will be served on board during the cruise back to the harbour, where you will disembark and travel by road to Hanoi. Depending on the arrival time, activities or free time will be arranged before transferring to the railway station for the overnight Reunification Express train to Danang. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 7 Hoi An
Upon arrival in Danang, transfer directly to the hotel in Hoi An, once a flourishing international trading port. Today it is a charming riverside town, renowned for silk, tailoring shops and its eclectic architecture. After lunch, enjoy a guided walking tour of the Old Town, including visits to Chua Ong Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, Tam Ky Old House and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Meals: not included.
Day 8 Hoi An and surroundings
Today you will get to know the local farming and fishing communities. You will visit Tra Que Village, a picturesque settlement just outside Hoi An, famous for its vegetables. Enjoy a walk through the gardens, actively participating in soil preparation and planting, followed by a cooking demonstration. Afterwards, return to Hoi An and enjoy a river cruise, during which you will meet local fishermen and try traditional net fishing. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 9 Hoi An
From your hotel, you will cycle to the home of a local artisan to learn about the history of the lanterns that illuminate the town, their different shapes and colours, and the stages of their production. You will then have the opportunity to create your own lantern, which you can keep as a special souvenir. Return to the hotel by bicycle. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 10 Hoi An
A free day to relax on the beach or take the opportunity to have tailor-made clothing created by one of Hoi An’s famous tailors. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to Danang airport and flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, you may explore Saigon independently: highlights include Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Alternatively, relax in a café or enjoy a meal at a traditional noodle shop. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
Day 12 Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City
Early morning departure from the hotel for an excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. After the visit, continue through the countryside to a cricket farm, where these insects are considered a local delicacy. After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Meals: breakfast and lunch (dinner not included).
Day 13 Departure, Ho Chi Minh City
The tour ends in Ho Chi Minh City. Those who wish may enjoy some free time before the transfer to the airport. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included).
