Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Transfer to the hotel (not included). Free time.

In the morning, after breakfast, you will explore the Armenian capital. You will visit the impressive Matenadaran library, home to the world’s largest collection of illuminated manuscripts. After lunch in a typical central restaurant, you will visit the Genocide Museum, which presents unique international documentation on the Armenian Genocide. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the Art Café and Museum, managed by Armenian painter Lusik Aguletsi, a legendary figure who preserved the tradition of Armenian puppetry. On site, you will take part in a workshop to create a traditional souvenir using wheat branches. Overnight in Yerevan. Full board.

Visit to the Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 4th century, it lies in a stunning natural setting surrounded by the cliffs of the Azat Gorge. Continue to Garni, famous for its 1st-century Hellenistic temple and spectacular views over the surrounding gorges and mountains. A duduk concert, a traditional Armenian wind instrument listed by UNESCO, will accompany your visit. Descend into the Azat Gorge to discover the “Symphony of Stones”, or basalt organ. Lunch includes Armenian specialties such as lavash-based preparations and “brduj”, a stuffed sandwich with local cheese and herbs. Continue to Gavar to visit a local family farm and cheese aging cellar, where you will taste the famous “drunken cheese”, matured in wine and cognac. Drive along Lake Sevan, the Pearl of Armenia, passing Soviet-era architectural landmarks. Dinner and overnight stay in Dilijan. Full board.

Explore Dilijan, a blend of modern and traditional architecture surrounded by forests and green mountains. Meet a local wood sculptor and discover his craft. Visit Haghartsin Monastery, a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture. Lunch at a local café. In the afternoon, take part in a creative workshop with local artists, then continue to Fioletovo village to meet the Molokans, a local minority community. Experience their traditions and a tea ceremony using a samovar. Dinner with locals and overnight in Dzoraget. Full board.

Visit Haghpat Monastery (10th century), a UNESCO-listed spiritual and cultural centre, and Akhtala Fortress, known for its remarkably preserved frescoes. After lunch, discover Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city and cultural hub. Enjoy a photo session wearing traditional Armenian “Taraz” clothing. Dinner at a renowned fish restaurant and overnight stay. Full board.

Visit Dashtadem Fortress before continuing to Etchmiadzin, the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Admire its imposing cathedral and unique frescoes. Lunch at the Armenian Unity Cross, a community and educational centre, with the possibility of participating in outdoor cooking activities. Return to Yerevan. Dinner at leisure (half board) and overnight stay.
