Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival, Cairo
Arrival in Cairo and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city or relax at the hotel. Meals: not included
Day 2 Cairo and Giza
Start the day with a visit to the renowned Egyptian Museum of Cairo with an expert guide. Afterwards, see the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx, followed by a traditional Egyptian lunch of koshary. In the evening, experience an overnight train journey to Aswan. Optional: transfer by plane instead. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 3 Aswan
Upon arrival in Aswan, visit the magnificent Philae Temples and then head to a traditional Nubian village. Meet the local inhabitants, learn about their centuries-old traditions, and enjoy a local meal with a Nubian family. Depending on the season, you may visit a village school and attend a lesson. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 4 Nile River
Morning optional visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Abu Simbel, famous for the rock-cut temples of Pharaoh Ramses II. Around midday, embark on a felucca for a relaxing sail along the Nile until the following morning. Optional: overnight stay in the Nubian village. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 5 Edfu and Luxor
After breakfast aboard the felucca, travel to Edfu to see the impressive Temple of Horus. Continue to Luxor, an open-air museum that can be optionally visited with a guided night tour. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 6 Luxor
A full day exploring Luxor’s historic sites, including the Valley of the Kings, the village of Deir el-Medina, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Optional: sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the valley. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 7 Luxor
Morning visit to the Karnak Temple Complex, one of Egypt’s largest. Afternoon free to explore Luxor or take a stroll along the Nile. Return to Cairo by train overnight. Optional: transfer by plane instead. Meals: breakfast and dinner (lunch not included)
Day 8 Cairo
Day dedicated to exploring Cairo’s main attractions, including the magnificent Citadel with panoramic views and the colorful Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, full of spices and local crafts. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
Day 9 Departure, Cairo
Tour ends in Cairo, with optional free time before airport transfer. Meals: breakfast (lunch and dinner not included)
